Newton, Mass.-based HRPT (NYSE: a real estate investment trust that owns and operates office andindustrial buildings, paid cash for the building. The sales pricer was not announced. Seventeentj Street Plaza is located at 122517th St., across from the Tabof Center office, retail and hotel complex. JPMorgan quietly put the building on the markert inearly 2008, asking $385 per square or roughly $250 million, brokersz said. Brookfield Properties Corp. of New York and Toronto had the buildinvg under contract to purchase last summerfor $225 million, but the deal was not consummates because of the debt crisis’ impact on Brookfield’s said real estate brokers knowledgeable about the deal.
